The Center permanently houses 13 resident faculty members from four social science departments and 9 staff members. As part of its Visiting Scholars Program, this year CES will host 26 social scientists from a range of disciplines, who carry out innovative research on Europe while in residence at the Center. CES also houses many of its 52 graduate student affiliates, who are working toward their doctorates within the Division of Social Sciences. In addition, CES has developed an extensive network of over one hundred Europe experts within the broader Harvard campus and other universities in the Boston area. This includes 42 non-resident faculty associates from FAS and Harvard’s professional schools and 66 local affiliates from other institutions who are active in the study and teaching of modern Europe. The Center’s 8 non-residential senior fellows, who hail from academia, business, government and the policy arena, serve as strategic advisors to CES and help advance its mission to stimulate new thinking and research on Europe.
